Regarding the simulation of the Baccalaureate exam for grades XI and XII, the Romanian language test will be on March 19th, March 20th, and on March 21st the mandatory profile test. June 2018 Calendar will be the test of choice and will be supported only by students of the 12th grade. Results will be displayed on March 30th. The results will be analysed at the level of each school unit, discussed with each pupil in part, through debates at the classroom or in meetings with parents, as well as at the level of the teaching council. The first results are scheduled for July 4 (until 12:00) and are followed by appeals (12:00 – 16:00). Between 5 and 8 July, requests will be resolved, while final results are scheduled for July 9th.

Oral tests for the first session of the Baccalaureate will take place in February, and the written examinations begin on June 25, according to the timetable announced by the Ministry of National Education. Entries to take the exam in the first session are scheduled for January 29th – February 2nd.

The structure of the school year 2018-2019 is in the process of being finalised. Eugen Ilea, vice president of the National Federation of Parent Associations, announced on Wednesday that the Social Dialogue Committee made the following changes:

“The school year 2018/2019 will have 34 weeks, 167 days, starting September 10 and ending the school year on June 14, 2019. It will keep the three weeks of winter vacation. September 10, start until December 21 courses, winter holidays December 22 – 3 weeks until January 14 (remains unchanged) courses until February 1. From February 2, the intermembral vacation starts until February 10th, February 11th to April 19th, spring holidays April 20th – May 5th, May 7th – June 14th, following the summer vacation until September 14th, 2019.

Given that all the social partners, the trade unions, the students, the employers’ confederations, along with us, agreed that this is a structure of the school year beneficial to students, I do not think they will be objections.”The first session of the National Baccalaureate Exam 2018 begins on Monday, February 12, with the test of language competence assessment of oral communication in Romanian (sample A). The trial will continue on February 13 and will be followed by the evaluation of verbal language skills in mother tongue (14-15 February).

On February 16, 19 and 20, the Digital Skills Assessment (Sample D) is scheduled, and February 21-22 will assess the language skills in an international language (sample C). First written test – Romanian Language and Literature – She) – will take place on Monday, June 25th. The first results will be posted on June 19 (until 12:00), and the same day may be appealed, which will be settled between June 20-22. The exam will end on Saturday, June 23, with final results being displayed. Last year, the National Review began on June 19, the first results were posted on June 26, and the final results were released on June 30.
